A man and his son were hacked to death by unidentified miscreants in Char Konabari area of Rajapur union under Belkuchi upazila of Sirajganj on Tuesday evening.

The deceased were identified as Siraj Shikder, 50, was an accused in seven cases, including murder, robbery and arms act cases and his son Said Shikder, 17, hailing from the same area.

Sirajganj assistant superintendent of Police (Belkuchi Circle) Shahinur Kabir said the miscreants attacked them while Siraj and his son were returning home on a motorcycle from Randhunibari Bazar and fled the scene leaving them dead on the spot.
